What is your favorite part about your role? I have been with GHF for 40 years and love
that I still get to be with members I have known for as long as I have worked at the Club. It feels like we are all part of one family and here for each other.

What do you do? I spend the majority of my time at the fitness center encouraging as many non-exercisers to start a healthier lifestyle. Outside of the gym I am a professional viola player and perform with the Gainesville Orchestra, and I am a part of the Gainesville String Quartet
(a group I started with 3 friends I met in the orchestra).

What is your favorite part about your role? To get the most out of my role requires me to listen to as many people as I can. In doing so the past 3 years, I have had the opportunity to gain insightful information about the lives of thousands of people and hear their stories. So my favorite part is that I’m able to meet so many different people and help them get started here at GHF.

My duty is to ensure you never leave our meeting with question or doubt in your decision. I strive to impact guest and members in the best way possible.
What gets you out of bed each morning? My parents. My parents have worked all of their life to give my brother, sister and I the opportunity to focus on what we want to achieve and I have been given the privilege to have their support throughout my entire life. What do you do? I am a cheerleader at Gainesville Health & Fitness! Well, they call me a fitness counselor; but, I really just cheer people on to go from thinking about exercising to actually exercising. I do this through membership advising, personal training consulting, and corporate wellness planning. I am also part of our Enculturation Team, in which we spark positivity through our culture of people to make both members and staff feel good here at GHF.
What gets you out of bed each morning? My daughter, literally, gets me out of bed each morning. Of course, coffee gets me out of bed too. Then, I’m ready to banish complacency and help people, including myself, achieve dreams they never thought possible.
What is your favorite part about your role? The connections I make with our members and our community just because people end up feeling better.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is: By Solomon in Ecclesiastes 1:9: "That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun."
